How to prepare for your outdoor photo session

So you can enjoy the majesty of outdoorss

1.

Book well in advance

Sunset sessions are recommended for summer shoots.

Known as the “Golden Hour” the sun does wonders.

Pro Tip:

It can be the end of a long day for your family. Have the little children nap and make sure everyone is well-fed when you arrive. It’ll make for happy smiles all around.

2.

Choose your favorite location

Rows of pretty flowers, rocky paths, beach sessions, the bay, the list goes on.

Pick a location that resonates with you most.

Pro Tip:

Unsure of an exact location? Let me know what you had in mind, and I’ll gladly guide you to the park that would match your preference best

3.

Solid color with no patterns are recommended

Fall - Open cardigan, Rustic colors

Summer - Cotton, White/light colors, Starchy

Spring - Solid pastel colors, Cherry blossoms

Winter- Coats in the snow

Pro Tip:

Accessories always add to the final picture. We recommend ribbons and necklaces for the girls, fedoras for the boys.

4.

Bring along another adult

It is recommended that large families bring along an adult that will not participate in the picture, so there is an extra pair of hands to help with styling, positioning, etc.

Pro Tip:

Asking your kids who they'd prefer to have as an extra pair of hands, can go a long way in ensuring that they are completely comfortable throughout the photo shoot.
